This blog has been a long time coming. I have been composing posts for it in my head for months now, during runs, in the shower, while changing diapers. In my post-college, pre-mommy days I was an aspiring journalist, then an English teacher, then a management consultant, and finally a culinary school-graduate, food blogger and pastry cook. I currently
stay at home with my two daughters work part time running my own small business, spend the rest of my time with the girls, and do a lot of knitting and baking… when I can find the time. I also marathon and triathlon.
Rather than make any grand proclamations of my intentions for this blog, I’ll simply say that I am one mom, in a sea of many, trying to reconcile the fact that I used to think I would be traveling the world and reporting for CNN a la Christiane Amanpour, and instead I find myself going to mommy groups and sewing bibs. I have no regrets, just lots of thoughts, and recipes, and projects to share. I hope that some of them are relatable, or that they spark thoughts of your own. If they do, please take a minute to leave me your comments. You can also email me directly at knitbakemom (at) gmail (dot) com.
